2018 has started and all the awesome books are about to come out, so i have listed out 9 Books By Indian Authors To Look Out For In 2018.

1] Pajamas are Forgiving by Twinkle Khanna (date to-be-announced):


After "Mrs Funnybones", a compilation of her columns, and "The Legend of Laxmi Prasad", an anthology of short stories, The well known celebrity Author and Bollywood Star Twinkle Khanna is all set to release her first novel in 2018. Titled "Pajamas are Forgiving", the novel is about “a woman who is stuck in an ayurvedic retreat with her ex-husband and his younger second wife”.

2] Why I am a Hindu by Shashi Tharoor (January 2018)


In this book Shashi Tharoor writes about Hinduism, one of the oldest religions in the world. Tharoor also aptly explains how Hinduism is different from the ideology of Hindutva. "Why I am a Hindu" will release in January 2018.

3] The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey (January 2018)


Perveen Mistry, a zoroastrian solicitor takes up the case of executing the will of a recently deceased affluent Muslim mill owner. 4] Raavan: Orphan of Aryavarta by Amish (October-November 2018)


The third book in the Ramchandra series by THE MEGA SELLING AUTHOR Amish tells Raavan’s story till the time he abducts Sita. The first book in this series, "The Scion of Ikshvaku" (2015), was about Ram’s story while the second book, "Sita: Warrior of Mithila" (2017), told the story of Sita till she was abducted by Raavan. The fourth and fifth books in this series will take the story forward. "Raavan: Orphan of Aryavarta" by Amish is expected to be out in October-November 2018.

5] From Twinkle, With Love by Sandhya Menon (May 2018)


After "When Dimple Met Rishi", author Sandhya Menon is ready with her second book "From Twinkle, With Love", which is expected to release on May 22, 2018. Living in America, she is torn between two perfect worlds-- the first being her parents’ idea of 'perfect' while the other being her utopia. The plot develops beautifully as Maya attempts to find herself in the middle of this chaos. "Love, Hate and Other Filters" will release on January 16, 2018.

7] A State of Freedom by Neel Mukherjee (January 2018)


Selected as the ‘Book of the Year 2017’ by The Guardian, New Statesman and The Irish Times, this novel by Neel Mukherjee is a penta narrative reaffirming the insatiable nature of human desire for a different life through five characters and their experience with displacement and migration. Neel Mukherjee’s "A State of Freedom" will release in January 2018.

8] A Girl Like That by Tanaaz Bathena (February 2018)


As 16-year-old Zarin Wadia is found dead in a car on a highway in Jeddah with an 18 year old boy, authorities try to learn as much as possible about the orphan girl from the people who were related to her by blood or acquaintance. Apart from Zarin’s character, the author brings to fore people’s views about caste, race, gender and religion. "A Girl Like That" will be out in February 27, 2018.
