Aarna’s marriage is in the doldrums yet she has lost the zeal to save it. The death of her mother shakes her. Heart broken she stumbles upon her mother’s diary. Written some thirty three years ago, it talks about someone she met and fell in love at first sight. What follows is a fairy tale. A girl in her early twenties is swept off her feet by the man of her dreams. It’s a passionate, selfless tale of two lovers. Does this love story see the light of the day? Is love alone enough or is togetherness a part of it? Is Aarna prepared to face the truth about her mother and this mystery man?
Love was never easy and if it was, it wasn’t love.

My Take

Starting from the cover couple holding hands in autumn season where leaves are falling. It's really beautiful and eye catchy. Title of the novel "Meera" is the name of protagonist of the story and the sub title Love More Than Allowed gives the hint it's about a love story and the reader shall pick the book up just after looking at it once, the blurb as compared to the story gives an apt just of the entire story.

The book is a bag of emotions, love, sacrifice, true friendship, struggles, compromises, first love, promises, betrayal, fear, family bonding, affection, care, understanding, fun, passionate, selfless, eagerness, hope, pain, sweet memories, independent women, and many more.

This is the story about main protagonist Meera. Aarna is struggling with her marriage has no idea that her mom Meera was suffering from cancer until her death. After the death of Meera, when Aarna cleans her room and find's her mother's journal written some thirty three years ago. Aarna comes to know more about real Meera which she was unaware. Meera was in deep love with Aditiya but destiny turns to break them because of inter caste and married with Advit. And later things not worked in married life with Advit they got separated. Shikha and Rohan stands with her in her tough time. This book is a good read with many interesting twists and turns. A mother daughter relationship is so beautifully penned down.

But Why Aditiya and Meera separated?

What happened to Meera's married life with Advit?

Do Aarna will safe her love and give it a second chance?
