If you are grown up here you will definitely agree with the points mentioned below and if you are new you will notice in coming days. 

You will find people over here quirky, sarcastic, bold, friendly and maintaining  safe distance at the same time. Have a look at the things you will relate to if you are grown up as Punekar.

1) Women Roaming Everywhere in Scarves


Seeing women in scarves in Pune is not a big deal. May it be any season a scarf is a tending thing for women staying over here. Walking on road or riding a bike a women doesn't leave her house without a scarf.

2) Go Early If Want to Park In Peth Area


If you have some work nearby or in peth area then going early hours if recommended for parking your vehicle. The peth area are so crowded all the time that you need to leave your house early to get your bike parked and reach on time. 

3) The Shopping Centre Of Pune


Laxmi road and Tulsibaug is the shopping centre of every woman around you. 

4) Palkhi in Pune 


Palkhi in Pune is so special that we get a day off. Palkhi is celebrated like a festival over here. All the people around the city come to watch Palkhi and a lot of care is taken of the people who are walking with the Palkhi.

5)  Shops Being Closed in Afternoon


Every Punekar loves to take an afternoon nap so mostly the retailers keep their shops closed from 1 to 4 pm.

6) Puneri Pati


The Puneri Pati are so innovative and scarcastic that it will always leave you with a smile.

7) Directions Have it's Uniqueness

The directions are told in a very different way. Mostly they are told only using two words- 'var' and 'khali'. You will find this if you ask someone staying in peth area.

8) Enjoyment with Friends is Different


To have a good time with friends Punekar mostly paln trips to lonavala, sinhagad or lavasa and have bhajiya with chai over there.

9) Basic Necessity


Owning a 2 wheeler is basic necessity of Punekar.

10) Quality of Bargaining

Bargaining is the quality most of Punekar are born with. We can buy anything for half of it's price or maybe less than that. 

11) Misal


Misal is the favorite food of any Punekar. 

12) Vaishali, Goodluck Cafe Or Vohuman Cafe 


Our favourite eateries have stood the trial against time, and so have we. Waiting outside these favorite eating spots for hours, while we could easily find a table somewhere else, but no! These eateries are a part of our schedule now, and we must follow it dedicatedly!

14) Puneri Richshawalas


The attitude of Puneri rickshawalas will be like he is driving a ferrari.

15) Our Book Market


ABC is our market to buy books.

16) P1 & P2 Parking


While everyone in this little world is aware of only Parking and No Parking, Punekars have their own way of it. Each side of a lane is either P1 or P2. Even days demand the two wheelers to be parked on P2 and Odd days demand the two wheelers to be parked on P1. It is unique right? It's just a Puneri thing.

17) Secret Codes for Places

Punekar love to use secret codes for places. We find it cool and classy. ABC. KP, MG, DP, etc are the few examples of the secret codes used.

18) The Slang Language


You will be familiar with word like Aawra, Vadhiv, Kadak, Vishay etc if you are born Punekar. Every Punekar own these words. 

19) Unique Banners


You will be familiar with 'Wadhdivsachya hardik  subeccha' like banners placed on every street.

20) Ganesh Festival


You can see the magical Pune at this point of time. Punekars are waiting for Ganesh festival as the city turns into a magic land of lights. You want to experience it then definitely should visit Dagdu Sheth temple.
