Alia Bhatt is often now a day’s taunted as the superstar, many of her current generation of the actress has talked in public they think Alia is the most powerful superstar and they want to follow her path of success. But all was not a piece of a cakewalk for this cute and bubbly actress.
The Grand Launch: 2012
Before she was selected for ‘Student Of The Year’ she had baby fat and had to lose weight to star in the movie.
She went on rigorous training and lost a lot of weight for her cliché Bollywood movie which was helmed by none other than the star director Karan Johar. It was a sure shot success. She was definitely noticed by everyone in the movie. But later things turned out bad for her as she played not only a dumb girl in STOY she was assumed and trolled to be one by her appearance in Koffee with Karan
She was trolled heavily on social media.
Well after all this she was mostly off-screen none of her movie released in that year or in 2013. While in the same year Bollywood saw some other new faces which looked promising. Namely, Ileana D'Cruz who starred along with Ranbir Kapoor in Barfi & Yami Gautam who was leading lady in Vicky Donor. Vaani Kapoor who was launched by YRF and Kriti Sanon who was present in successful Heropanti.
2014: She was back with the bang!
She starred in a spoof video and showed the world she was not just some random cute face she was strong and here to stay!
That Year 3 of her movies released.
All three were box office success but most important she showcased her acting and star power with Highway which was Imtiaz Ali directorial.
2015: Shaandar turned out not so Shaandar.
Well, it was one of the most anticipated movies of the year and her pairing with Shahid Kapoor has been looking forward to! But due to lack of depth in the story, the movie did not perform well. But this did not stop her.
2016: She did three movies.
Starting the year with, Kapoor & Sons which turned out a hit. Then the movie which made her an actor more than a star, Udta Punjab marked herself as an actor who knows not only being a star but also an actor.
Then came a movie which was a breath of fresh air, Dear Zindagi. It was a movie in which she got a chance to work with the king of Bollywood SRK but it was more of her movie. Since she was the lead and SRK played just a character role.
2017: Badrinath Ki Dulhania
She had one big release and it was one of the biggest hit of the year.
2018: The Star Was Written All Over Her
Yes… this year made her the Super-Star she made Raazi a blockbuster all on her own star power, acting and determination.
Well all the actress who started their career along her are just some newcomers but she became the superstar of her generation.
From being called as a dumb actress to becoming a super-star who everyone dreams of Alia Bhatt have walked a long way.
May she became a bigger star than this country has ever seen!
