Radhika Apte. The movie is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham –

voiced concerns about the unhealthy menstrual practices in rural areas of the
country. It is time Indians (especially men) started talking openly about

Madhavan was to play the lead role opposite Aishwarya, but he backed out later.
