My Take

Starting from the cover of the book there is a digital images of couples which is very common and clichéd. The cover looks like a movie poster more than a book cover, anyway its a beautiful cover but with some creativity, it could have been better. The title of the book “Love is for Life and Beyond” is interesting and gives the reader an absolute idea that it’s going to be a love story.

The book is a roller coaster of emotions friendship, love, family, parents, sibling, hurt, pain, disloyalty, dream, college life, office, world tour, business deals, agony, hope, fights and many more. This is the story of main protagonist Nikhil. Nikhil a bright student of mechanical engineering, wants to fly to Germany after his completion of engineering exams. Moreover the plot advances with friendship of Nikhil and Shanaya the two childhood friends blossoming into a love affair. As Nikhil thought he his results were outstanding and he planned to make his move to Germany. But fate had some other story for him. His mom got diagnosed with breast cancer stage one and fear of losing his mother made affectionate Nikhil stay back and join family business. Taking care of ailing mother, business issues Nikhil ‘s time was squeezed between duty and work, he failed to give time to Shanaya which brought bitterness to the existing relation and Shanaya being frustrated started having affairs ditching Nikhil. He came to know about the truth and it pained him so deeply, as he truly loved her but time constraint strained the relationship. He felt betrayed and could never forgive her for the betrayal but couldn’t help the deep love lessen a bit for Shanaya within him. He felt helpless and gave-up the relationship but at this juncture of hopelessness a bright ray appeared and it was Ridhima. She entered his life as a friend but nurtured and replenished it with love and hope once again. But will this new-found friendship have a new love story? Will Nikhil and Shanaya have a happy ending? Can Nikhil will be able to forgive Shanaya and Start a new life with her? To know more what happen next read the book.

The language used by the author is simple and interesting one can easily connect with the story and live the journey with them in fictional world.

The plot of the book keeps readers busy in turning over the pages. The story is basically simple love triangle, but what makes it beautiful and unique is the way it is written and how well the feelings of each character is narrated.

The characters are very wisely chosen and have lived upon a reader’s expectations and you’ll feel the turbulence, the happiness, the enthusiasm and heartbreak all along with the character. Especially for a debutant, the way the emotions are expressed through different changes in nature is totally stunning and nothing was forced anywhere.

I am not happy with the quality of the pages in the book and more than 5 pages are blank. A few typographical errors here and there need to be rectified.

I recommend this book to the readers who are seeking for a quick read or a light-hearted romantic novel.
