This notice adds to the TinkerFeed Privacy Policy and covers Launchpad: listings, email signups and digests, and how long we keep data. Launchpad is operated by Socialfeed Technology Private Limited.
Product listings
We publish publicly available information about software products and the businesses behind them (name, website, category, pricing model, tagline, public logo). Our legal basis is legitimate interest: providing a directory of products from publicly available business information. A product's owner can claim the listing, or have it removed on request using the takedown form on the product page.
Email signups without an account
If you are not signed in and enter your email address for "The daily launch, in your inbox", we store:
- your email address, and a one-way hash of it so the same address is never stored twice;
- whether the signup is pending, confirmed or unsubscribed;
- a confirmation token and an unsubscribe token;
- when you signed up, when a confirmation email was sent, and when you confirmed.
We send one confirmation email ("Confirm your daily Launchpad email"). You receive the digest only after you click the confirmation link; until then nothing else is sent. Signing up again with the same address within 24 hours does not send another email. If email sending is not yet switched on when you sign up, your request waits as pending, and we may send the confirmation once sending is available; confirmed and unsubscribed addresses are never sent a confirmation again.
To limit abuse, signups are limited to 5 per hour per IP address. For this, the IP address is kept for up to 2 hours and then deleted automatically.
Digests
The daily digest (today's launches) and the weekly digest (last week's most-upvoted launches) are opt-in:
- Registered users receive them only after turning them on themselves — on the Launchpad page, with the switch in "My launches", or with the link in a one-time invitation we may send each user once. We record when and how you opted in. If you do nothing, you are not subscribed.
- Visitors without an account receive them only after confirming their address as described above.
Items marked "Sponsored" in a digest are paid placements.
Unsubscribing
Every confirmation email and every digest has a one-click unsubscribe link (and a List-Unsubscribe header). Unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Signed-in users can also turn the digest off in "My launches".
Retention
- Account data (your profile, submissions, upvotes and comments) is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Server and view logs are kept for 90 days at most. The keys we use to count one view per visitor are deleted after 24 hours.
- Email logs (recipient, template, time, delivery status) are kept for 12 months.
- Unconfirmed email signups are deleted after 30 days.
- Confirmed signups are kept while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep the address and its unsubscribed status so we can keep honouring the unsubscribe; you can ask us to delete it.
- Payment records are kept as required by tax and accounting law.
Deleting your account
To delete your account, email support@tadlo.ai; we complete it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, your submissions that have not launched, and your upvotes and comments (in discussions, your comments are shown as from a "deleted user"). Product pages that have already launched stay published unless the product's owner requests a takedown.
Where your data is stored
Our server and database (MongoDB) run at Amazon Web Services (AWS Lightsail) in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region, so Launchpad data is stored and processed in India.
Email delivery
Emails are sent from support@tadlo.ai through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), which processes recipient addresses and message content to deliver them.
